Q: Now i know this isn't a macbook question

Could anyone help me okay so...My laptop been acting funny lately and just recently I brought a dvd (i'm talking about a acer laptop) the dvd is a windows 8.1 installer dvd..I looked up every type of way to remove the write protection on the hard disk..and I can't find a way for it to work and before you ask no I currently do not have an OS installed on there because it won't let me install an os on there...HELP!

This is an Apple product forum. Not for Windows laptops. I suggest you contact Acer for support.

If you know your question is not an Apple question why ask it in an Apple help community. You likely will get a faster answer in a Windows forum.
