facetime wont start

Hi all,

I had my MacBook Pro's hard drive changed few days ago as it broke down. Today I tried to run FaceTime for the first time and it wont start. I get "

Check with the developer to make sure FaceTime works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X."

Unfortunately I do not know how to uninstall FaceTime as every time I try it prevents me from doing it saying that it is protected.

As far as I can remember theonly thing Ive done was download few VPN protectors (deleted all of them by now) and upgrated from Yosemite to El Capitan.

Can anyone help, I would really appriciate it.
