    What's going on.

What's going on is that your AirPort router was configured to work with the settings provided by your "old" modem.....which is no longer there. So now, your AirPort router needs to be set up to work with your "new" modem, since some of the settings provided by the "new" modem are different than the "old" modem.

To do that, perform a Hard Reset by holding in the reset button on the back of the AirPort router for about 7 to 8 seconds. Then release the reset button and allow a full minute for the AirPort to restart. The indicator light will stay solid amber for about 25-30 seconds, then change to a slow, blinking amber light status.

The AirPort has been reset back to its original default network settings.

Now the AirPort is ready to be set up again to work with your "new" modem. Set up the AirPort again just like you did when you first connected it to the "old" modem.

If you need additional assistance, we'll first need more help from you regarding some specific details about your products.

    1) Is the AirPort "square and flat".....like a pizza box, or is it tall shaped.....like a tower?

    2) What is the make and model number of the new modem?

    3) What operating system are you using on your Mac?  If you are not sure about that, click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then click on About This Mac and post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.
