Q: Which system is better for minecraft and sims?

Should I assume that a mac mini is only useful if I use boot camp to play these games? If that's the case then I have to assume the mac mini (without using boot camp) isn't good for these types of games right?

My choices for a new system are: 1. Kingdel; Fanless Mini Industrial PC, Windows 10 NUC with Intel 4th Generation i7 Haskell CPU, 16GB RAM, 128GB SSD+1TB HDD. Intel HD4400/5000 Graphics, 3200*2000 Resolution supported

2. mac mini - 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 16GB memory 1TB hard drive1(fusion drive) Intel Iris Graphics OS X El Capitan Thanks again for your input I am a complete novice when it comes to this stuff.

No, Bootcamp is just so you can run Windows on it. If the games are meant for Windows then you need Windows to run it.

The fact it can run them on Windows means it can also run them on  OS X if you have a version of the games for OSx.

Neither Minecraft nor the Sims require an overly powerful system, either one will work well.

If you have many Windows based games I'd go for the PC.  Otherwise you will be restarting the Mac every time you want to change from OS X to Windows to play a Windows based game.

I see.  I was getting advice that if I wanted to purchase the mac mini then I should use boot camp to play those games because they work better on windows OS rather than mac OS X. Many people have told me windows are better for gaming but I am a mac person at heart so I was stuck on what to do. My gut tells me that a mac mini will be fine, albeit an expensive purchase if that's how I want to go.
