Q: Can't Delete/Empty Files From My Trash
They are files for an old Lexmark printer that I no longer have.
I have tried several different ways, via the terminal, chflags -R nouchg , sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*, etc. (operation not permitted).
I've tried using the get info function for the files, they are NOT locked but I cannot make changes to the file to add myself for custom (read/write) access (The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have the necessary permission).
If I try to delete each file singularly I get this message (The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items).
I am the administrator on this box and there are NO other users.
The file types are *.bom and *.plist.
I am running the latest version of El Capitan on an iMac 27.
iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
