Q: WindowsSupport file can't be recognised?
Hi,
So today I tried to reinstall Windows with Boot Camp. I have created an USB with full Windows installation, and I copied WindowsSupport file (downloaded recently) to the USB.
Here's the problem. Boot Camp recognised the USB with Windows Installation but can't recognise the WindowsSupport file.
Do anyone knows how to fix it?
P/s: By the way, I booted the USB by opening the Startup Manager, and when I clicked Install Windows only, THERE WASN'T ANY DRIVERS AT ALL! The list of drivers was blank, and there was nothing I can do.
MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), null

The WindowsSupport is not a directory. It should a be DMG/ZIP file that needs to be expanded. Let BC Assistant do this correctly. Bootcamp may re-download the drivers.
If you still want to do this manually, then please see step 11 in Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support .
