Aug 13, 2016 2:25 AM in response to daylefromdartmouthby dwb,Basically one notebook repair pays for the warranty. I've owned Apple notebooks since the first PowerBook model and purchased an extended warranty for all of them. Sometimes I didn't need it. Sometimes I did. Right now I'm a little ahead of the game. Note: since the extended warranty doesn't cover damage make sure it is also covered thru your home owners/renters insurance for things like spilled water.

Notebookshere is the problem I have. I paid $1200 for my MacBook Air and for a 2 year warranty I have to pay $279 + taxes. I think the macs are a better laptop but apple rips us off on warranties and additional products. I don't think Macs will survive.
