Q: Leica Q and DNG files in Photos
I have a Leica Q and want to use the RAW DNG format. I currently use LR6 but want to use Photos to store and modify these files and stop using LR6.
Are DNG files compatible with Photos and can they be edited in the normal way?

If your system is up to date (OS X 10.11.6), Digital Camera RAW support 6.2 and your camera is on this list - Digital camera RAW formats supported by OS X El Capitan - Apple Support - then it is supported and they can be edited in the normal way
Note that RAW support is not by file type or camera brand but only by specific camera - each camera's DNG format is different
a trivial way to find out is to import one and see how things go
