Okay, so it seems this must be an iPod touch, since you are connecting with Bluetooth. Have you connected this device to any other Bluetooth devices before? If so, did you experience any difficulty? What is the year and make of the vehicle? You mention the dealership. What did they have to say about the particular model of iPod that you have being supported by the vehicle and the Bluetooth? Does it show from them as being compatible?

Okay, it appears that model number is for an iPod Nano, which supports Bluetooth 4.0. If the device works with Bluetooth headphones, then the error is on the vehicle side. You need to check back with the dealer to find out if the vehicle supports Bluetooth v4.0, an if they have any updates to the audio system. As far as the USB connection, that should not stop working, so they should check that as well.
