Q: i found an ipod and i restored it to new but now its asking for an icloud account that i dont know what do i do to by past this

I just restored this ipod to brand new but now its asking for an icloud account apple id and pw but i dont know it. How do continue to make this ipod mine with my icloud account.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8

    Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.

     

    If you aren't able to get assistance from the owner, please dispose of the device responsibly by sending it for recycling.

    The iPod cannot be changed from the original owner's Apple ID without their permission.

     

    Best to report a lost device to local authorities. It may give the original owner a chance to get their iPod back.
