Q: what is error code (50), can't complete restore/update

my iphone6 informed me of update available. update failed; error code (50). can't complete update/restore.

my iPhone 6 directs me to iTunes via icon, update required a restore, software install stopped half way thru

my advise out there?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.4
