Q: My iMac 8.1 will not update OS X soft ware.

My good old iMac will not update OS X system - from OS X Leopard OS X El Capitan. And my Safari-browser vill not either. I have tried several times with the same outcome - that is: no succes! Strange! Can anybody hellp?

iMac 8,1, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Back up your data, click here, and read the entire page. Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC software such as Microsoft Office 2004; some other installed software may also be incompatible.
