Q: unexpected error occurred Airport Express
Today I received my airport express and after doing the general setup of plugging in to the power supply and plugging in the Ethernet cable, the status light was flashing amber. After rebooting my modem, the status light was still flashing amber. What is the problem that I am experiencing and how do I fix it?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 9.3.4

Appears to be numerous posts here lately related to users inability to access their AirPort base stations through the AirPort Utility.
One "solution" relates to those who have configured their base stations for Back to My Mac. If you have done so, the recommended course of action is to temporarily remove or disable this option, as follows:
- Run the AirPort Utility.
- Select the base station, and then, select Edit.
- On the Base Station tab, go to the Back to My Mac section at the bottom of the window.
- If you have any entries here, select it and then, click on the minus "-" button to delete it.
- Click up Update and allow the base station to restart.
If that's not the case for you, we can provide you with some other options.
