Q: Need some serious help

I have a 128 GB micro SD card that I am using with a Nifty Drive in my Macbook Pro. I have been using it for almost a year.  All of a sudden the drive disappeared and I could no longer access the files on the Nifty Drive.  I pulled out the drive, reinserted it and got this message "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer".  Below is a snapshot of the info pulled from "System Information" if that helps. Is there anything I can do to recover the data on the card?

If you have Windows PC or can access to it, rescues data by it. Then reformat SD card if it works.

Thanks for the quick response kaz-k.  I do have access to a PC but how do I go about rescuing the data with it?

    Thanks

    Hello flytrout,

First try to flip the read/write switch a few times. If that doesn't help, try moving it but not all the way. If you can get it to mount, immediately copy the most important files. Then use Disk Utility to create an archive image.

What kind of Mac are you using? Unfortunately, the SD card slots in MacBook pros are notorious for failing. The card is probably fine. It is the Mac that is failing.
