iPad Air2 iOUS 9.3.4 Sending secure email w/ picture attachment.

The instruction on State of Nebraska web site advise the use of secure email. I know that the gmail email I typicaly use to communicate is not encrypted.

Is it possible to send a secure email with picture attachment from my iPad? What type of application or special type of email account options are available?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.4, With newer Mac

ios will send any sort of mail you setup it's not the mail program or operating system which handle such things it's the account you add in settings->mail, calander and contacts

Are you looking for something like PGP which will encrypt the message before sending? Does the state recommend a particular method?

This http://lifehacker.com/what-are-some-encryption-options-for-iphone-1487231923 page has some hints, including how to add a certificate to the Mail app (who knew). There are also several alternative mail apps that include PGP. Happy hunting!
