Q: Mac pro for gaming?

Hello,

So i can get a Mac pro really cheap. ( i would preform a hack on it so i could run el capitan or sierra )

but i was wondering if i could put a Msi r9 270 in it, install windows 7 and use it for games like gta v on high settings?

 

specs = Msi r9 270

             120 gb ssd

            2 x 2,66 GHz Dual Core Intel Xeon

            10 gb ram

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5), null

    1. This is not an Nvidia card, so it uses amd drivers!

    2. can't i just leave the 2 graphics cards in there and set windows to use the r9 270? ( i've read somewhere that as long that the original card is in there any card will work in os x, in that video he did it with a gtx 980 )

    Sorry I meant install AMD drivers.

     

    As you pointed out Windows does not like mixing different model cards. This card will work in OS X except for the pre-boot screen.

    1. i've read that the WHOLE boot screen should work as long as you keep the original card.

    2. can't i just say to windows wich card to ignore and wich to use? ( and yes i know alot about pc's, it totall ******** that you can't mix 2 different card but you can mix other brand cards as long as they are the same kind! )
