Q: Touchscreen getting less sensitive

I'm using an iPad Air iOS 9.3.2 and noticing for awhile even on previous iOS that I'm having trouble placing the cursor in existing text to copy, paste, add or remove a space, select a word, etc. it's as if my touch screen has become much less sensitive/responsive to my touch. Sometimes I have to attempt placement 5 or more times before I can get the cursor where I want it or to get the magnifying glass to display.  My iPad is relatively new, 1 year old or so. I don't feel it's an iOS issue.

Is anyone else having this problem?
