Hey,

I've always had WiFi printers in my home and never had to deal with this issue personally, but the following article from CNET seems to answer this question:

http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-print-wirelessly-from-your-iphone-ipad-or-ipod -touch/

My printer is an HP OfficeJet 7500 E910, which allows me to print from any wireless device and my printer is only plugged into the power source.

Also, I didn't read the whole article thoroughly, but I would venture to say that if you have a cable to plug your printer in to your wireless router, it should show up as a network printer. If your iPhone is connected to the same wireless network as the router is projecting, you should have success in this. It would still be wireless printing from your iPhone, but just a different setup.

Hope this helps, and feel free to reply with any other thoughts or questions!

Thanks,

Michael

This is going to be a challenge and may not be possible. The problem is that by default your 6s will look for AirPrint printers only, not just Wi-Fi printers but those that handle AirPrint. I have a Wi-Fi printer (Epson) but it is not AirPrint capable. I rarely print from my phone or iPad but in order to do so I have downloaded the Epson App. I cannot print directly from Safari, Pages, or the like, but using the Epson App I can print any material in the rare cases I need to do that. Without Wi-Fi I don't know a way to do so, even with the app.

You can't print directly, but there are a number of apps for your computer that will allow you to use Airprint from an iOS device to print on a printer connected to the computer. I use Printopia, but there are several others also.

Another option is to buy an Airprint compatible printer. You can probably get one new for around $100.
