I am using OS X EL Capitan and I notice that I dont have a AirDrop How can I install

Finder Preferences > Sidebar check the Air Drop box.

Why do you think you don't have AirDrop on your computer? To use AirDrop, you must have another device or computer with which to drop something. So, if there is a problem with AirDrop, you always have two things to diagnose. You need to describe what you are doing on the machine you want to drop from and on the machine you want to drop to.

Also, you must specify exactly what machines/devices you are using. There are actually two AirDrops - an old one and a new one. They are compatible, but you have to click a "Search for an older Mac" on the newer Mac. I don't think iOS is backwards compatible like that.

AirDrop system requirements

To send items to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or to receive items from those devices, you need a 2012 or later Mac model with OS X Yosemite or later, excluding the Mac Pro (Mid 2012).

To send items to another Mac, you need:

• MacBook Pro (Late 2008) or later, excluding the MacBook Pro (17-inch, Late 2008)
• MacBook Air (Late 2010) or later
• MacBook (Late 2008) or later, excluding the white MacBook (Late 2008)
• iMac (Early 2009) or later
• Mac Mini (Mid 2010) or later
• Mac Pro (Early 2009 with AirPort Extreme card, or Mid 2010)

So...

If your computer has no support for AirDrop, then it won't be available to use there.
