Q: How can I sync my music the old way, I do not want to use iCloud.
I was having trouble syncing music (checked songs) to my phone. So I enabled iCloud storage and subscribed to iTunes Match. I thought my issue was solved but 1) songs I do not want on my phone are now on it, and 2) checked songs I want on my phone are still not showing up.
Is there a way I can sync iTunes and my phone without using iCloud and iTunes Match? I prefer this way other than this new way.
If not, how can I use iCloud/Itunes Match and only select the things I want on my phone? (I'd rather not have to use either of them though).
Also, I am subscribed to Apple Music, if that makes any difference. Before this whole iCloud and iTunes Match business I simply had Apple Music and was syncing songs to my phone by checking them and using a USB/wifi connection.
I am using a MacBook Air and iPhone 6s plus.
Please help! This is extremely frustrating!

Hi,
You can't sync the old way if you use iTunes Match or Apple Music. The main purpose of them is to allow all your music to be available on other devices via the iCloud music library. If you want to sync by wifi or cable, turn off icloud music library on your iPhone.
