Aug 14, 2016 4:31 PM in response to PuppyDogMomby judysings,Good afternoon PuppyDogMom,
Thanks for your question. I understand that you are missing music on your iPhone that is appearing on your Mac. Is the music that you are missing music that you purchased or imported from CDs onto your Mac? Or, is this music that you are trying to get from Apple Music?
The resource below explains how to work with the Apple Music content:
Use your Apple Music membership to get your music on all of your devices
Have a good day!

Aug 15, 2016 6:41 AM in response to PuppyDogMomby dialabrain,★HelpfulDid you look at this page as well?
Add music from your own collection to your Apple Music library - Apple Support
specifically it mentions this…
Songs that are encoded in AAC or MP3 formats must meet certain quality criteria to be matched or uploaded.
I don't know what that criteria would be. But that may be why.

Aug 15, 2016 6:43 AM in response to dialabrainby PuppyDogMom,DDoes that mean then that music of my own can't be loaded if it meets that criteria? Do I have to buy it again then?

Aug 15, 2016 6:48 AM in response to PuppyDogMomby dialabrain,I don't think that's what it means. It may have to do with bitrates but as I mentioned I don't know the criteria. It may also depend on whether the songs you have that won't upload are DRM protected. You said some upload and some don't. Which don't?

Aug 15, 2016 7:01 AM in response to dialabrainby PuppyDogMom,I Have specifically 3 cd's that are soundtracks. Dan in Real Life, Nottinghill, and You've got Mail. Before Apple Music these albums did sync to my phone. After upgrading the phone to an Apple 6+, and using Apple Music, they won't sync.
