Aug 13, 2016 5:50 PM in response to Pac-Man9961by Skydiver119,Nope. That is the activation lock and it's mean to be a theft deterrent program (requiring the apple ID and password used to set up the device to wipe it) so there's no way around it
See if you can get your money back because it cannot be used, sorry.

(Scroll down to Remove an iOS device you no longer have) . If she can't do that, insist that she return your money as the iPod is useless (except as a poor flashlight).
