Q: Backup compatibility between 5S and SE

Hello Communities,

I have iPhone 5S, and recently bought a new SE.

Can I use a local backup on my 5S for the new SE?

Actually, I tried it. But it seems not perfect.

What I want is to make the new SE exactly same as my 5S.

Thanks.

iPhone SE, iOS 9.3.4

Restoring the new phone from the backup of the old phone will copy everything that's in the backup, including settings and passwords. A backup, however, does not contain everything that was on the older folder. For example, apps need to be redownload, music needs to be synced, photos that were not in Camera Roll need to be synced and/or downloaded. If you see differences on the iPhones, it might be due simply to the fact that not everything has downloaded and synced yet.

If the SE uses a different version of iOS than was on the 5s, you'll also see differences.

    Thanks Rysz.

Actually I have another 5S that is a physical back up for my everyday 5S.

The backups have so far been perfect between my 5S.

But, I might have missed a syncing before creating a local backup.

    I'll try again.
