AppleCare Technician Training?

I know this doesn't belong in this forum but there wasn't one general enough. I have four questions and I would love as much input as possible.

Is AppleCare Technician Training a good buy at $299?

What is included in the box?

Does the current version available have updated Intel Mac info? (or is that where the web resource comes in?)

And number 4. Would it be better to wait till after 10.5 Leopard is released to purchase this?

(a side question, is there anywhere to get this at a discounted price?)
