How can I make a partition on/of my disk or volume which is on my Time Capsule?

    Use a product such as the Disk Utility to create a disk image. If you’re running El Capitan, you may need to create it on a local drive and drag-copy it to the Time Capsule.

    You will not be able to partition the drive installed on the Time Capsule directly. It would have to be removed and, subsequently, void any warranty. This would not be a recommended path to take.

     

    I would second Niel's response in creating a disk image as your "partition" that can be mounted on your Mac's desktop. Note; however, that this image will not be available for Windows PCs.
