Notes iOS app stop sync with iCloud after initial sync

Hi there!

I have a really strange problem with the Apple Notes app on all my iOS devices.

  1. I set up my iCloud account on an iOS device.
  2. The notes app and all other services sync their data onto my device.
  3. After some days the Notes app (and only the Notes app) refuses to continue sync with iCloud. Changes i do on my Macs or directly in the web app are stored in iCloud, but the iOS devices do not get them. Changes I make on my iOS devices are not copied to iCloud.
  4. When I disable Notes in the iCloud settings on my iOS device, the iCloud notes are not removed, they remain on my device. Disabling calendar works as expected, after that there is no iCloud calendar on my device.
  5. This happens on my iPhone and on my iPad (both iOS 9.3.4, it also happened with 9.3.3)

I already deleted the complete iCloud account on my iOS device, rebooted and set it up again. The process started with number 1 again.

I hope someone can help me, with this situation Notes on iCloud is completely useless.

Regards,

Marcus

My computers are all El Capitan lastest version, iOS devices are iOS 9.3.4, I migrated to new Notes format as soon as it was available, and it worked perfectly for a long time.

Today I had a call with Apple Care support, and together we managed to fix It. It seemed as if the sync service on both iOS devices had problems. Deactivating the account, several reboots and a reset of all settings helped.
