Is there a way to withdraw battery from an iPhone 5th gen or above to another phone.
I understand this may require different hardware etc. but its it practically possible within iPhone(presuming hardware cable etc. was already in place)

Since Apple classifies the iPhone as not a user supported device for such maintenance, no.
But is it possible?
Anything is possible.
Do you want to do it? No.
Check sites like www.ifixit.com. Note that often when iPhone models have changed, the battery connector type and position changes.
Note: if you open the iPhone from then on out Apple will have nothing to do with it. Any future problems with it you will have to take care on your own.
