Q: Problem with storage/backup on MacBook Air Mid2013
Dear Apple-Community,
I want to backup ALL the data of my Macbook Air. I already copied the whole "Macintosh" of my computer including Users, Documents, System etc. However for some reason there are still some things I can find in "Spotlight" (pictures from emails for example) but I can't find them in the copied folders of my macintosh.
I tried finding the exact folder where the pictures are located, it's in users -> my name -> library -> mail... however if I try to find it "manually" like if I open Macintosh, Users, My name, Library etc it doesn't work because there is no Library-Folder in the Folder with the house (on the picture I inserted). So there is some kind of hidden folder or sth that I forgot to copy... but I don't know how I should find it because I just copied the whole "Macintosh" onto my external hard drive. Is there a reason why I don't have the library folder? Is there an easier, more secure way to copy ALL the data, like my email-downloads, my iPhone backups, photos, music, everything? Please help! Thank you

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Why not use the built-in Time Machine software?
