Q: all of a sudden I cant get mail. everything is greyed out. also i tried to update and I cant close mail app

all my mail settings are greyed out . Icant get mail or close the mail app to update

You can force quit the Mail app using the force quit keyboard shortcut Command + Option + Esc.

 

 

For issues with mail.

 

With the Mail app open go to the menu bar then click Window > Connection Doctor
