Q: I have an iPad 2, it doesn't actually show that it's charging

I have an iPad 2, and have the issue after updating to 9.3.4 -- either it was the software update, or the iPad had a sudden failure of the 30-pin connection port.  It seems as though it will charge (went from 7% to 100%), but it doesn't actually show that it's charging (no lightning bolt next to battery indicator).  I've tried multiple hard resets, four different 30-pin cables, and multiple adapters, but the iPad won't recognize in iTunes on either a Mac Mini or MacBook Pro, or show charging from a wall outlet.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
