Q: localhost/~username/ not working

Besides the additional modules you are loading, I don't see much difference. My Sites directory is configured like this:

<Directory "/Users/mfaizanulhaq/Sites/">

Options Indexes MultiViews

Require all granted

</Directory>

I don't know why that would affect it, though.

What does "didn't work" mean? Does Apache not run? Does it not work for root and/or for user? Does it report errors and in what situations?

I took a quick look at those configuration files you posted. I stopped looking after the first one. It is different than the system configuration file. If you are having trouble, you must return your system to a known good configuration. Otherwise, you will likely never get it fixed. Then, after you have a working system, you can try to change settings to get whatever custom behaviour you want. But you do that kind of tweaking with a working system. If you system isn't 100% operational when you start, you are just changing random bits on the hard drive.

Did you save the original config files? If so, you can just restore those. If not, you could try to create a new local user on your machine, apply the settings from my user tip above, and see if that one works. If it does, copy those settings to your account.

What do you mean by "that"? Do you mean that you have tried a new user account? Or do you mean you have restored all of your Apache config files to their original settings?

If you have restored the files and restarted Apache, that should be all you need. Start looking at the Apache log files when you access the root vs attempting to access the user directory.

I configured mine exactly as you have and don't have a problem.

Please run this command in Terminal and check to see if there are any ACLs listed below your Home folder (first Line) and your Sites directory.

ls -aleO@

Home folder and Sites should look like this:

drwxr-xr-x+ 20 Barney  staff  -   680 Aug 17 19:00 .

0: group:everyone deny delete
