Q: Is there a way to "see" ip cameras plugged into a built in switch on my NVR?

Hello,

i have 8 ip cameras. Four are plugged directly into the network and four are connected to a built in Poe switch on the NVR. Using bonjour I am able to log into the four cameras plugged directly into the network. The scheme is 192.168.0.xxx.on these 4 ip cameras. The four cameras connected to the built in NVR's POE switch have a scheme of 10.1.1.xxx.

Is there anyway to connect to Bonjour for these Poe cameras?

Thanks,

Mot

You can only talk to devices on your local subnet, or those that can be reached via a gateway. In principle there is no communication between devices on 192.168.xxx.xxx and anything on 10.xxx.xxx.xxx, even if all the devices share a common switch or hub. Can you change the NVR's network settings to it integrates with the rest of your network, presumably letting your router manage all the devices via DHCP?
