Q: Camera raw support for Olympus PEN E-P5? (OS X 10.11)

How about PEN E-P5 - does it have raw support by Apple?

All the other mid-range PEN models are in the listing: PEN E-P1, E-P2, E-P3 and now Camera raw update 6.20 includes support for new Olympus PEN-F. It seems that PEN E-P5 is missing between.

According Aperture support page http://www.apple.com/fi/aperture/specs/raw.html E-P5 should be supported. I don't have Aperture but I have understood that RAW support is on system level.

Somehow it looks that my model ha either been dropped out from list or not supported.

Has anyone better knowledge about this matter?

You might receive more focused response if you were to post your question in the Aperture Support Community.

Shall I request that the hosts move your post there?

Thank you about attention. This message can be moved if you believe that it gets faster resolution somewhere else in this forum. However question is not related to Aperture. Camera Raw support is on OSX -level. Indeed people in Aperture Support are more photography oriented and might know the answer.

Apple added camera raw support (v4.09) for the Olympus Pen E-P5 in Fall 2013. Support for this camera does not appear in the 6.20 release, and may be excluded on the whim of Olympus, or incompatiblity with El Capitan, causing reissue delays.

Have you contacted Olympus about this status?

Thank you about swift reply and facts. That was surprise as many Olympus models (OM-D & Pen) are sharing same technology. Haven't asked from Olympus as I'm not advanced enough to address this kind of issues (yet ).

I'm going to share feedback if I have success with manufacturer.

Hopefully there are some forum member reading this - already wet thru the path and having answer to this?
