ios 9.3.4

Updated to ios 9.3.4 and it killed my battery life. Also my finger scanner stopped working.

Does anybody have a solution. Tried to contact Apple south africa but got told to contact my service carrier. This does not make sense to me, what can my service provider do about software issues.
