Aug 15, 2016 6:23 AM in response to userremovedby King_Penguin,Only iTunes Support can potentially delete an account, which would also delete any purchases on it - you can try contacting them via the 'contact us' link at the bottom right of every page on here, or just log into the account on http://appleid.apple.com and change its primary email address (assuming that it's not an Apple domain email address), and then see if you can re-use the address on a new account

There is no need to create a new ID when you change email addresses. If that is what you did, just changed your email address, then follow these instructions.
