Q: iPhone can't back up on iTunes

Hi.

I have been trying to back up my iPhone 6 to my iTunes like I've always done so, but it stopped working a few months ago prompting the error "itunes could not backup iphone because it was disconnected".

I now urgently need to back up my phone... I searched the web and the communities and couldn't find any satisfying answer.

 

A bit of info

. I use a macbook pro retina 15

. iTunes / iOS are up to date to latest versions available

. my cables are fine (I tried with 4 of them!)

. I don't want to use iCloud, and specifically want to do a local back up

 

Please help!

If your iTunes backup couldn't be completed or you can't restore from a backup - Apple Support
