Hi jadjac,
There are many free grocery list templates on the web. If you can't find one that you like, please reply with what you want it to do.
Is this for Numbers '09 or Numbers 3?
Pages '09 or Pages 5?
More information will lead to a solution 😉.
Regards,
Ian.
It's Pages/Numbers 09. I'd like to have it with a check box or similar.....
I did go online and look around as well! You're right! There's a lot of templates. Not many for iWork (pages.....) but I think I might be able to make one of them work if I DL it in PDF format... Do you agree?
Thx quinn- I was aware of that option, so it kinda helped. I need to understand the "nuts & bolts" of the creation before I get there.. I'm not one who ever was able to use Excel, so numbers is about the same. Pages I can muddle thru.
Thank you,
jadjac1
Hi jadjac,
You'll find a Checklist template in the Numbers '09 Template chooser (File > New from Template Chooser...).
Essentially, it's just a single table with three columns. A contains checkboxes, B is labeled "Date", and C is labeled "Task". Alternate rows are filled with a light green as an aid to tracking across the columns and staying on the same row.
Take a look at that, then come back with questions if you need more assistance.
Regards,
Barry

Numbers '09 can open (most) Excel documents. Pages '09 can open (most) Word documents. The conversion (import) may not be perfect, but will give you ideas on how to create your own iWork document or template.

That is why the Numbers for Mac forum exists. We can help you through the process. Don't give up.

You can download a PDF if all you want is a form that you can print and fill in with a pen. PDF is the final print version of a document. A PDF is non-editable without jumping through hoops. If you want a Grocery list document that you can edit on your machine, I suggest downloading an Excel or Numbers '09 template. As quinn said, Save as Template in Numbers. Then you can re-use it. We are still waiting for you to declare your overall aim 🙂.

Ian.
