Mac OS X
Q: Lost HD Space
My Macbook running Yosemite shows that I am using my entire 128 GB storage capacity. When I go to "About This Mac" it shows the typical Photos, Audio, Movies, etc. but the "Other" capacity shows almost 100 GB used. When I manually look at each individual folder to calculate storage used, I am missing 50 GB of space. I have also ran a sudo mdutil to reassess usage which freed up 1 GB. Are there hidden files similar to those found on the Windows operating system I am not seeing? If so, how does one locate and delete such files?
