Q: Are Airport Profiles no longer available?

Seeing as how my AP Express is a portable device, it would be great to not have to run setup every time I moved it.

It looks as though they dropped support after AP utility 5.6, and now that version cannot be installed on my system.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but "profiles" and about 20 other useful features went away when Apple introduced the "new and improved" AirPort Utility 6.x versions 3+ years ago.

If you have an older Mac running Leopard or Snow Leopard, you could use AirPort Utility 5.x on that device to set up and administer the Express.  A PC with AirPort Utility 5.6.1 for Windows should work as well.

Okay, thank you. Frustrating for sure. Thanks for the tip on the windows version; should be a viable workaround for me.
