On OSX El Capitan, when I open any Facebook or youtube page in Safari, there is a question mark inside of a blue box where there should be a displayed image.

I am running the latest version of Safari updated. I have tried to do the following without any success:

I do hope the community has a solution to help me. Also, I have included a screenshot of the problem.

With Safari open look at your menu bar top of your screen.

If you see Develop between Bookmarks and Window click Develop. You should see a drop down menu.

If Disable Images is checked, click there once to uncheck it.

I was able to get through by using the option you gave in the link here - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204098

Also, I forgot I was using a Smart DNS service and after resetting my DNS network setting to default it returned to functionality.
