Q: Can you use iCloud.com to restore Contacts from an earlier date directly from your iPhone, or use all of iCloud.com from your iPhone?

Hi there, so I was going through my contacts the other day. I had noticed a couple of contacts that I decided I no longer needed in my phone. I decided to delete them. While doing this I also noticed my name as being a contact, I unintelligentlay decided to delete myself from my contacts as well. Really not too big of a deal, but when I created a new contact card for my name for Siri to use, it no longer displayed the nickname I previously, and also currently was using at the top of my contact list, where your name and number are usually listed. It still did display my name however, along with my number. Just not the nickname, which again was previously listed at the top of my contact list along with my number. Siri was able to still call me by that nickname as well though. I know not really a big deal, however I do think it would still be cool for that to be the first thing listed, as it previously was. I deleted myself as a contact card again, went to Settings, iCould, turned off Contacts, chose Keep in my iPhone, then turned it back on, before I selected Merge. Doing this restored those previous individuals as contacts, who one of which I actually did regret deleting in the first place, but still not my personal card. Before I did this, I found out how to do this by Googling: restore contacts iphone. I also found this page from Apple: If you accidentally deleted your calendars, reminders, or contacts from iCloud - Apple Support. I saw that you can restore contacts from specific dates. Really, this is my main question, as now I am curious about how this would work. I clicked on the link to go to iCloud.com. There were three options listed: Set up iCloud on this device, with a Settings icon displayed next to it, Open Find My iPhone, and Open Find My Friends. I have iCloud, in fact creating iCloud on my phone was one of the very first things I did. I use it for backups, along with Photo Library. For instance, like on a Mac or PC, can you use iCloud.com to view everything that was backed up from your iPhone? Again, this is my main question, is iCloud.com, with all of it's options something you can use directly from your phone? I didn't tap on Set up iCloud on this device. Is this something I should do, to be able to use all of iCloud? Are all of the features that are available on iPhone found directly under: Settings, iCloud? I am just a bit confused about how iCloud.com works. Honestly, unless it is a good idea, I probably won't restore my contacts using it. Is this even an option though? Can I view all of my photos, backed up by Photo Library through this as well? Sorry I made this post a bit long, I am just very confused about iCloud.com, versus iCloud under Settings. I know I sort of jumped from one topic about a very minute issue, to an entirely different question/series of question. Is there any difference between iCloud.com and iCloud under Settings though? Are there different functions you can use between the two, or are they the same exact thing? I found very little information about this online, even though I was mostly visiting Apple pages. Any feedback as to how the .com aspect of iCloud and the iCloud that is listed under Settings, and also if these restore tools are available for me to use directly from my phone, and if I should use this, would greatly be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

What is at iCloud.com and the iCloud in Settings is the same iCloud.

iCloud.com on a device. You can tap and hold the Refresh icon (semi-circular arrow) in the URL bar until "Request Desktop Site" appears and then tap that. The ability to do things is much less than when logged in using a computer.
