Q: I upgraded last night and now my IMAC will not let me save things to my documents folder.  How can I work this problem?  All it tells me is to go to Finder....

I upgraded last night to Ver. 10.11.6 on OS X El Capitan and now my IMAC will not let me save things to my documents folder.  Says I don't have permission to save to the Documents folder.  How can I work this problem?  All it tells me is to go to Finder....file..get info and I can't find info under finder....

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), Just upgraded and now have this pro

    Hi pbarnes, run Repair Permissions and ACLs on your Home folder. Disk Utility does not touch anything inside your Home folder. Boot to your Recovery partition holding  command + R keys  from the Utilities menu Launch Terminal . In Terminal, type: resetpassword Then press Return.  (Note: You will not be resetting password)

    Choose the icon for your Mac’s hard drive at the top. From the drop down below select your Home folder. At the bottom of the window Restore Home Directory Permissions and ACLs. Then, click  the reset button. When the prompt returns to the command line, you can quit out of Terminal.
