Q: Lync stopped working

I am running El Capitan 10.11.6 and MS Lync 14.4.1

 

Today, Lync just shut down and I am unable to launch it.  I re-downloaded it, restarted the Mac, etc. but to no avail.

 

Anyone any ideas?

 

I had encountered an issue with Parallels shutting down on me for no reason as well but I don't know if this is related.  I am running Skype for Business on Windows 10 via Parallels and do not have an issue.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
