    Power off your Airport Extreme for 15 seconds or so and then power it back on. As soon as you see the green light, you should be able to see it for a minute or two in Airport Utility. If so, do that and see if you have Back to My Mac enabled. If so, disable it by removing all email addresses from the Back to My Mac section. Then Update your Airport Extreme. Work quickly.

     

    Many began having this problem within the past week, probably because Apple changed something in its BTMM servers. A real fix will have to come from Apple, but this should work if you currently have BTMM enabled.
