Q: Verification code SMS - NOT RECIEVING

Hey,

     So I've been using my iPhone for two years now I'm on the 6S. And ever since I changed my phone number, I can't seem to verify my number. Be it Two Step Verification or while adding your number at 'Reachable At'.. Basically right now I can't get any verification sms from apple and it prevents me from using FaceTime and iMessages. iMessage is something very important to me.. Would be glad if I can get this to work .

 

Things I've tried :

  • Search for days to make sure this wasn't one of those repetitive questions.
  • Follow guides and videos to get this to work off YouTube and Apple forums.
  • Try again after proper intervals [It's been a month]
  • Reset my iPhone and start from scratch but no luck
  • Don't ask me to restore my iPhone to a previous backup as I lost all my backups accidentally trying to free up space on my PC.

 

I'm on iOS 9.3.4 and from a country called Oman and my carrier is Ooredoo. All of that is listed as supported by Apple here at this link, for convenience basis I've uploaded a screenie from the site which shows my carrier and country is covered -> About two-step verification and SMS - Apple Support

TL;DR : As you can see when I try adding my number. It is basically stuck at this screen (number hidden for privacy concerns) at I receive no verification code as SMS. And yes, the SIM is in my iPhone and activated.. I receive and can send SMS and Calls to other phone numbers.
