how can I find the documents and data stored on my iPad?

iTunes says there are 32.5GB of documents and Data saved on my iPad. I have a few notes stored but do not use my iPad for much but reading books and browsing and have 5.6GB of video and 1.5GB of photo.

I would like to know how to tell what is stored and how to decrease the size of those files.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 9.3.4

Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > (STORAGE) > Manage Storage will show the amounts of storage used by each app. You need to use the app to delete the unwanted files it is saving. Make sure you empty the trash in apps that provide it, like Mail. Note that some apps, like Garage Band, are pretty big by themselves, without any user data.
