I see from your post that you're getting an error when you launch Calendar on your Mac despite force-quitting and restarting your computer. I can see why this would be an issue, so I'd like to provide a suggestion that may help out.
First, make sure you fully quit the Calendar app, then follow the instructions below:
To temporarily prevent an app from re-opening its documents and windows, hold the Shift key while you open the app.
