Q: Calendar Hanging Up

Have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), was adding something from email to calendar and now how to force quit. Tried both restarting and rebooting computer same issue when I open calendar. Note: calendar icon in dock has a circle with the number 1 in the upper right hand corner.

Help is greatly appreciated.

Hi mhkmatt,

I see from your post that you're getting an error when you launch Calendar on your Mac despite force-quitting and restarting your computer. I can see why this would be an issue, so I'd like to provide a suggestion that may help out.

First, make sure you fully quit the Calendar app, then follow the instructions below:
To temporarily prevent an app from re-opening its documents and windows, hold the Shift key while you open the app.
