Brand new MacBook Pro says I have 1.83 GB of Audio

Hi there!

I got my very first MacBook 3 days ago. I’m still learning and I have absolutely nothing on it except for Spotify that I downloaded. I have no music, pictures, videos nor files. When I went to “About my Mac” and under “Storage” it said (I attached a screenshot) that I have 1.83 GB of Audio, almost 1 GB of pictures and a few MB of video.

So my questions is, why does it say that when I have absolutely no content on my mac? I know its only a few Gigs when added up together but I’m just wondering WHERE it came from and WHY it says that.

Is there a way I can fix this? Factory Reset my MBP?

Kind Regards,

Kasia

The program that generates that display has a bug in it, therefore the information shown should always be viewed with skepticism. Some times, but not always, a Spotlight reindex will correct the data:

If you want to know exactly what you have on your MBP, Download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all of your files and the respective sizes.
