Q: Safari from iPad showing up in Mac dock -why?
My mac was turned off for a day or so and when I just turned it back on, I found a new item at the top of my Dock (located on right side of screen) that is identified as "Safari from iPad" and it's mirroring what the current page I have open on my iPad.
1: How did this get there (what "feature" suddenly linked my iPad Safari to my Mac)?
2: How do I prevent this from happening? I do a lot of private browsing on my iPad and really don't want the kids to look on my Mac to see what I'm doing on my iPad.
Thank you,
-Tod

It's normal .. it's called Continuity.
Pick up where you left off with Handoff.
Use Continuity to connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac - Apple Support
