- Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
- Select General and scroll down to Nightstand Mode.
You can also check the setting from your Apple Watch. Open the Settings app and tap General > Nightstand Mode.
And make sure your Apple Watch OS is up to date.
On your iPhone open the Watch app then tap General > Software Update
Latest OS available is OS 2.2.2.
And make sure your iPhone iOS is up to date.
Tap Settings > General > Software Update
Latest iOS available is iOS 9.3.4.

Aug 16, 2016 10:11 PM in response to Carolyn Samitby rajivzume,The problem is NOT that it doesn't go into Nightstand mode ... it does. The problem is that when the nightstand alarm goes off, pushing the side button to turn off the alarm has stopped working.
